Environment...........

Our club is priviledged to have the District Chairman for Environment, Lion Jolene Wilesmith, and a very passionate Portfolio Chairman Lion Lillie Henderson, looking after the environment for us. Recycling is one of the clubs projects. This is done in many various ways. Paper is put in the recycling bin at Woodlands Pre-Primary were one og our past members was secretary. Now the Centre for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (C.R.O.W.) also has one. Plastic yogurt, butter and ice cream containers are also collected for C.R.O.W. They use these to store the animals food in. Pill bottles are collected and given to the S.P.C.A. to put the animals medicine in that is distributed there. Used stamps are collected and given to The Bible Society. It may only be a small effort but one that improves our environment.
